Over the weekend I “got” to watch Armando Montelongo in Flip This House. Quite an episode, I’d say. First, he buys a house without even seeing it. Talk about dumb! I know, it’s TV, but really! I can’t believe my husband actually likes this guy.
So Montelongo buys this house. He thinks it’s going to be an easy flip. Of course, they have all kinds of problems with it. You know, all the usual crap. So Armando’s partner gets to deal with all this stuff and it’s going well until…..You guessed it, Armando takes his family on vacation!
Yup, someplace sunny and warm, and his partner gets stuck with the problem house. And the problem got worse and worse. The plumbing was bad, really bad. They had to rip out the whole bathroom. The partner had to make an executive decision…more on that later.
And talk about a vacation. Sun, fun, beach, and can you say lobster dinners??? Typical Rich Jerk, Montelongo. You’re eating lobster while your partner is stuck doing the job. Armando even jokes about sending a lobster home. Way to rub it in!
So, Armando gets home, and what happened while he was gone? The house has turned into a monster problem…Remember those executive decisions? He left his partner in charge then complained that too much money was spent!! Unbelievable.
Montelongo, if you’re going to complain, DON’T LEAVE the project in the hands of another. If you have to leave to go on vacation in the middle of a job, DON’T COMPLAIN!
