I watched Flip this House today, and all I can say is, "Armando, you really have a nightmare of a life." Or at least you create your own nightmare. Is crawling under houses and getting wet fixing leaks really what you want to do? Then, you put more pressure on yourself because you're out of shape and you want to fix it fast. Then you yell at your contractors. You painted yourself into that corner. At least you sold the stupid house.

Veronica For President!!!

After watching the Armando Montelongo show, Flip This House, on Saturday, I've decided to nominate Veronica for President. We need someone with some original, kick butt ideas in the White House.

Armando, you got outsmarted!

Armando bought a house that had a small kitchen, problems with plumbing, and a crummy bathroom, and didn't allocate much of a budget. So Veronica wants to replace the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom. Well, Cheap Rich Jerk Armando didn't want to spend the money.

Instead of feeling defeated, Veronica looks for solutions so she can sell
this house with the little kitchen that needs cabinets.

She came up with a totally brilliant and original idea! Hire an artist to paint a very cool, colorful mural on the wall in the kids room. Then get the kids excited about it when she shows the house.

The kids were begging their parents to buy the house. Veronica is a marketing genius. Every good marketer knows that, if you possibly can, you should sell to the kids. Parents and grandparents can't say no.

Armando Montelongo can remodel, but Veronica is the designer--and the sales person-- in that partnership! Way to go, Veronica! You rock, girl!

Ok, I really don’t care much for Armando Montelongo. He’s a cocky SOB and thinks he knows everything. But I do like his wife. She’s smart and kicks butt on the show, so I did a little research.

I found that Armando is not collecting any type of disability. This doesn’t even surprise me. The guy has an ego. His pride wouldn’t allow him to collect a measly $150 disability check every month.

Besides, Veronica is beautiful and classy. She looks like she’s expensive to maintain. She wouldn’t be dressing so great, with nice make up on $150 a month. Do you know how expensive make up is? I doubt that if he really wasn’t making any money, she wouldn’t stick around very long.

I agree with Midge about the TV stuff. You really do have to keep the audience's attention. That's why Armando and Veronica are a team, and that's why they don't put the boring figures in the show. The whole point of the show is to entertain the audience.

Armando Montelongo - Flip This Vacation

Over the weekend I “got” to watch Armando Montelongo in Flip This House. Quite an episode, I’d say. First, he buys a house without even seeing it. Talk about dumb! I know, it’s TV, but really! I can’t believe my husband actually likes this guy.

So Montelongo buys this house. He thinks it’s going to be an easy flip. Of course, they have all kinds of problems with it. You know, all the usual crap. So Armando’s partner gets to deal with all this stuff and it’s going well until…..You guessed it, Armando takes his family on vacation!

Yup, someplace sunny and warm, and his partner gets stuck with the problem house. And the problem got worse and worse. The plumbing was bad, really bad. They had to rip out the whole bathroom. The partner had to make an executive decision…more on that later.

And talk about a vacation. Sun, fun, beach, and can you say lobster dinners??? Typical Rich Jerk, Montelongo. You’re eating lobster while your partner is stuck doing the job. Armando even jokes about sending a lobster home. Way to rub it in!

So, Armando gets home, and what happened while he was gone? The house has turned into a monster problem…Remember those executive decisions? He left his partner in charge then complained that too much money was spent!! Unbelievable.

Montelongo, if you’re going to complain, DON’T LEAVE the project in the hands of another. If you have to leave to go on vacation in the middle of a job, DON’T COMPLAIN!

This is supposed to be the big inside scoop. What goes on before filming the season opener of Flip This House? My take on this is: Not Much. This does not seem to be the easy, indulgent life of the rich and famous. I mean, actually sharing a dressing room? Armando, you are the star of this show. Why don't you have your own trailer?????

Also, Montelongo, I couldn't believe you actually let them put your food spread in the same room they do your hair and make up. Yikes! I almost puked. Why would any self respecting Rich Jerk put up with such beastly amenities? Get a longer trailer so you can put the food in a separate room. You're a rich guy....You can spring for another whole trailer if you want. Oh well, at least the meal was catered and not pot luck.

By the way, while you're getting rich and famous, what are these other poor dudes doing? They do all the work! Poor Paul had to climb a ladder. He's afraid of heights, man. Let him do his work on the ground.

Then you went and woke the driver up. Why did you make such a big deal about him sleeping? He didn't actually have to drive anywhere at that moment--you still hadn't filmed anything for the show yet. He had a good 12 hours of sleeping time yet. Good grief, talk about anal. Let the poor guy have a nap already.

This is ok with me, though, Montelongo. Just keep picking on your crew. It will only give me more ammunition to work with.

I guess being a Rich Jerk just gives you the right to ogle babes. What a life you lead, Armando. Not too many men can say they spend their work day surrounded by beautiful young women in bikinis. There they were, though, a group of gals decked out in brightly colored bikinis, with the words "Beer 'n All" written on their butts. What the heck does that mean, anyway?????

Oh, and did they work?(Yeh, they worked it, all right) They were supposed to work, weren't they, Armando? I think you're the first boss in history to feed the crew first, then put them to work. Lucky they didn't all fall asleep! Oh, that's right...they couldn't eat anyway, for fear of falling out of those little nothings they were wearing...... And who wears high heeled sandals on a construction site??? They all did!!! Can you say, "Workman's Comp, Montelongo????"

Oh, and when these lovely, ogled ladies did actually work on this house, they handled their tools like the pros they were. Dabbing here and lightly scraping there. Wouldn't want to mess up those skimpy bikinis now, would we? Did anything get done that day, Montelongo? Or did you throw away a precious day of flipping????

I guess Rich Jerks don't remember the old adage, "Waste not, want not." But they sure have fun not doing it!

RICH JERK, SUPER DESTROYER

Rich jerk Montelongo thinks he knows everything! He shows he is unbelievably cocky when he climbs up on a bulldozer and tries to knock down a room on one of his flips (Flip This House, Episode 34).

He knocked down the the side of the house, the overhang, the trellis that held up the the overhang, and whatever else was within reach. Maneuvering a bulldozer is not Armando's talent.

He made lots of excuses, though! My favorite: "Every time you talk to me, you ***distract me..." Sure, Armando, you just don't know how to drive a bulldozer. He had lots of fun, though...

Armando Montelongo just can't admit he made a mistake! Glad he has the money to pay for it. Any of the rest of us would be paying for it for the rest of our lives......

Hi. I'm Connie.

I've started researching Mr. Rich Guy, Armando Montelongo. I've watched his program, Flip This House, a few times. The shows are good, and Armando's wife, Veronica, kicks butt! Love her!

Armando Montelongo, however, treats people like garbage. He fights with all his contractors, kicks them off the property, you name it. Lucky for him they feel some loyalty toward him or he'd never get anything done! Most of them seem to be on good terms with him in the end. Must be a guy thing.......

Anyway, I have lots of research yet to do and will keep you updated on my findings. The Montelongo name is all over the internet.
